Hello, here are my answers for this issue:

1.    How do you get ready for this period institutionally speaking? And as a Language Teaching Team?

During this period, institutionally speaking, all the teachers are getting ready for the assessment instances that are coming soon. Particularly, I am preparing the students who need to improve a bit more their performances in my subject, by providing them with more material to study the topics and grammar exercises they need to learn better.

2.    Do you think “Instancias de Complementación e Intensificación de los Aprendizajes” is an adequate approach to deal with middle school students not reaching the school year learning goals?

Yes, I totally agree with the idea of these instances since they provide the students with more opportunities to get better in what they need. However, what I find a drawback is the fact that in some cases many students who need to improve in certain subjects do not take these instances seriously, thus, they do not make an effort to study more to try to pass and reach the learning goals of each subject.

3.    How would you implement it (institutionally and/or in your own classroom) to get positive results? How would you measure these results? What kind of results are considered to be successful?

I would implement in my classroom activities that motivate the students to keep on working, such as challenging and fun games, like Kahoot, wordwall, quizziz, bamboozle, and those kind of games in which working in teams is important. I consider these are great platforms to work with my students in these instances because not only are they fun, but also, they make students feel aware and encouraged to work in order to win the games. At the same time, they make an effort to do them well, and in that way I can test their knowledge, too.

4.    What other strategy would you suggest to face the same educational issue?

I would suggest team work, to make students work collaboratively in these instances in order to reach their learning goals in groups.
