What kind of activities do you usually plan for developing macroskills?

  • Speaking: make a dialogue, role play, oral presentation, vocabulary repetition.
  • Writing: write short texts.
  • Listening: videos, tik tok

How often do you include them in your planning? How do you do it?
In the first year, I generally work more with repetition of words. I frequently send my students Tik Tok videos referring to the vocabulary worked  to the WhatsApp group.
What obstacles do you find in the process of implementing the activities? Shyness and insecurity are the main obstacles

As I mentioned before, most of you have common obstacles. It is a good opportunity to start thinking together about options.

Hi, Clau! I can see Flor, Guada and you mentioned the same obstacles when working with speaking. It is a really usual situation. I´ve read once that shyness, lack of confidence are not the only obstacles when trying to produce the target language orally. Anxiety and lack of vocabulary can worsen the situation. So may be lowering these filters can be a method to overcome student´s shyness, stress, etc. It can be done by us, as Teachers, setting the class atmosphere to be fun and comfortable.
